Join our fishing guide on adventurous fishing. We take you on a hunt for Hardangervidda’s big trout. The Halnefjord is a fantastic trout lake and the surrounding rivers are powerful with mysterious rapids and quieter parts.

Do you want to learn fly fishing? This course gives you good training in everything from casting techniques, the right choice of equipment, tying flies and how to choose the right fishing spot. For beginners, the fly fishing course will pay a lot of dividends, and this is the best way to learn fly fishing.
RAKAFISKLAG

Join this year’s rakafisk team – a weekend that will be full of food from what Hardangervidda and the surrounding valleys can deliver! We have the pleasure of inviting you to an unforgettable rakafisk team in Steinbua on Saturday evening. We pop the butte and try the year’s first rake fish. The fish was caught in the Halnefjord in early July and should therefore be ready.
KNITTING

Are you a knitting enthusiast who loves to combine creativity with nature experiences? Then you won’t want to miss our wonderful knitting weekend at Halne Fjellstugu. Both beginners and experienced knitters are welcome! Gather friends, family or come alone to enjoy a weekend of knitting joy and relaxation.
BOAT TRIP WITH HALNEKONGEN
Boat service every day with departure from Halne at 09.00 & 13.00

Take the boat across the Halnefjord as the start of a hike, or as a round trip. Or how about staying one or more nights at Halnefjordhytta, which we rent out. Halnekongen goes from Halne Fjellstugu to Skaupa/Sleipa. The crossing takes around 20 minutes.
ACCOMMODATION
It is important to sleep in a good bed with a comfy duvet after a long day in the mountains. At Halne we have 75 beds situated in the main house and in cabins. With the window slightly open, you can sleep well breathing in the fresh mountain air from Hardangervidda.
FOOD
The nature on Hardangervidda is generous, and many of the ingredients we use in the restaurant are fished, hunted, and harvested locally. Halne Fjellstugu is the place to visit for a tasty dining experience both for residents, cabin people, locals, and passers-by.
ACTIVITIES
Halne Fjellstugu and Hardangervidda offer several fun and exciting activities. We have a variety of things to do throughout the season and have categorized the various activities according to the seasons. Winter and spring season is from March to May, and summer and autumn season from June to October.
MEETINGS
Halne Fjellstugu is a perfect meeting place for social gatherings. This applies to both business meetings and private gatherings. We are happy to offer the entire establishment as a venue for closed events. Exploring activities together enhances the event experience, and we are happy to tailor content especially suited to your particular event.
