VØRINGSFOSSEN

This is one of Norway’s most visited tourist attractions, and for good reasons.

Vøringsfossen is part of the river Bjoreio in Eidfjord municipality in Vestland county. The waterfall has a vertical drop of 145 meters and a total drop of 182 meters. The Norwegian Public Road Administration has constructed a stairway bridge over the 182-meter-tall waterfall Vøringsfossen. The bridge makes it possible to climb the tall canyon with Måbødalen at the bottom in 99 steps. Vøringsfossen is half an hour’s drive west of Halne.
